I'm workin' out now (with mom) at curves, and slowly whittling away at ZooFonics.

Looking at it now, I may have to brighten up the colors on the scarves, they're hard to see.

Yepppppp! Now it's time to run the sketch by the commissioner and then to transfer it to the watercolor paper. . . and eventually to paint it.

Lots of things gone on as of late, but some of the biggest include-

Just the other day we finally got my money out of my educational savings account (all 1800 of it!) and though i would obviously much rather spend it, we're going back to the bank on Wednesday (when the investor is there) and putting it into an IRA and perhaps also investing some. as it happens, the stock market is incredibly simple, if not unpredictable.

After a Con. . .

It's been a week and I'm still frikkin tired D: There has been... a small amount of progress as far as art goes, but nothing major to report, mostly sketches and stuff- Not much that I'm too excited to post about.


I've been in a rut of sorts lately and have had little, if any, motivation to do much of anything, so just about -everything- has grinded to a damn halt.

Here's some of the things I've finished recently, though-

First attempt at both underwater and also using tape to clean up the edges and hold the apper down and such.

wasn't quite as successful as I'd hoped, but it's alright. ignore the purple smudge. that used to be a fish but then i screwed up. (it was actually really pretty, too.)


Haizea. . . colored. . . Her hair is supposed to be more of a sand color than that :/


Picture I whipped up for the guy who roomed with us at FC. He frikken loved it- I.. don't hate it, but I AM LEARNING so I can't expect too much from myself.


:/ Anyway, Yeah.
Work's been ripping me a new one (not as hardcore as it does for some other people) and my bills are up to about 215 a month now; 15 for the data plan on my iphone, (that'll go up when we get our new contract in a few months here) and an additional 75 onto the 125 rent for utilities, since I'm not going to school. I'm making about 300 a week on a good week, almost 4oo on a REALLY good week, but work is unpredictable. I don't always know if I'll be working tomorrow- if there's no work for me -right now- a job could come in at six thirty in the morning, and It's quite stressful. I'm exhausted all the time. . .

I honestly thing that I need to go see a doctor- a good one, not the one I have now, that will give me any med that I ask for without a second thought.

I have to go see my gyne, to, because I haven't been since I got my birth control scrip- nearly a year ago?

But I don't have insurance, really, and I know that my parents have no issue paying it, but we literally have a $5000 deductible, and I don't know I could stand that sort of guilt- doctors aren't cheap :/

We -are- in the process of signing up for MediCal, though, which should help somewhat.

I've been thinking about looking into purchasing a bike or something- I need a way to get around without the car (I've lost general use privileges, having been booted out of school) and I also want a way to start getting into shape- I'm still about 20 pounds over and the ensuing lethargy isn't helping anything.

So.. Yes. Off I go, Back into the world of various doings in the pursuit of money.

Above there is my entry for the contest that dA was holding, for a cover to the Inception Motion Comic that It being worked on- I guess the winner is chosen by Christopher Nolan, which means that If i make it into the top 15 (which I doubt)- then he'll -look- at my art.
(I actually just realized that now) which is FUCKING AMAZING IN AN OF ITSELF.
. . . I no longer care if I win. I just want to make it into the top 15.
But anyway, yeah.
I think that, of the three of them, Arthur looks most like himself. Nash looks a little young, and Leo looks- Uh.

The sketches that I worked the painting off of looked just like all of them, though, which is a fucking amazing feat, for me. so. yeah.
I do like the basic layout and composition, and I've never been able to manipulate colors on purpose like I did here.
so, overall. . . good times.

and. . . A commission for the Iron Artist Thang- Most excellent fellow, too, by the way! WIsh to work with him again-

Charem the- well, the charmander (I do hope that I didn't need to telly you that.) For obvious reasons, isn't too fond of baths that take place in any sort of proper liquid (unless it is also a liquid that can set things on fire) His master, Guan, has no other choice though- and what comes out of it is an incredible show of the trust between the two- the pet trusting the master to be careful- his life is quite literally in the larger's hands- and the master trusting the pet not to harm him as he goes about his business-
Really just an adorable Idea, and I was glad to be able to bring it to life

Yeah, so- My Aunt Jenee (WHO IS AMAZING BY THE WAY)- I sent her a copy of the script as it'd been written up so far, and -
She printed it, and did a little bit of editing (and I did the rest) and gave it to me at the family Christmas thing <3 It has been most extremely useful and I'm actually using it now to plan out the pages and pictures and stuff, since I work best with hard copies of things.

I'm to pages 29/30 now, and it's just been an amazingsend.

and it excites me- having something physical like this- really means "YES IT WILL HAPPEN FOR SURE". . which is amazing <3
